14 in Portland Electric Chainsaw Issue – Harbor Freight

We've started coming across a repeating issue with the 14" Portland electric chainsaw from Harbor Freight. The motor wants to spin, but it is not activating the clutch. It puts off a high pitched whine.

This is how I temporarily fixed it. However, the issue does seem to continue to come back on a regular basis. It's now not being caused by anything in particular.
